Growing School Gardens Summit
The Growing School Gardens Summit is a bi-annual, national gathering that brings together school gardening professionals from across the country for three days of workshops, field trips and networking.
Improving health outcomes in the communities we serve by supporting nutrition education, nutrition access, and wellness programs.
The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is helping kids grow healthy through nutrition education and hands-on gardening programs that bring learning to life. In partnership with more than 100 nonprofit organizations, we’re teaching children how to grow and prepare fresh, nutritious foods, and empowering them with the tools they need to develop healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.
We know children who grow their own fruits and vegetables tend to eat more fresh produce. And with added cooking instruction, they’ll incorporate more of these healthy eating habits into their everyday lives. But school gardens do more than just grow produce—they support the whole child, benefitting their social, emotional, physical and mental health.
We connect nonprofit partners and educators across the country through in-person and virtual gatherings, exchanging best practices and knowledge resources to grow the school garden movement.
Through our grant programs, we support nonprofit organizations that bring learning to life by delivering educational lessons to students in school and community gardens.
Our commitment to friendly service doesn’t stop at our stores. We pledge to be good neighbors in every community we serve through volunteer work and local event support. Each year, our team members participate in opportunities throughout the year to lend a helping hand and give back to the community.
